Not totally sure about the identification of this African bird of prey. I think that it is an African Goshawk (Accipiter tachiro). Their eyes can be yellow or red like this one. These are tenacious short-winged hawks that are commonly used in the sport of falconry. It’s an avian expert at pursuing prey through the thick woodlands in which it likes to live.
