Osteo-skeletal Support

Dear Doctor

Scientist have linked the lack of boron in our diet to weaker bones. For women, especially after the onset of menopause,  a low concentration of boron increases the excretion of calcium and magnesium as well as estradiol and testosterone, weakening the osteo skeleton system.[1] Low boron level is also associated with the occurrence of arthritis: countries (such as the USA, Japan, China and Brazil) that have low boron in their soil and diet show increased incidences of arthritis.[2]

Boron, as a naturally occurring element is part of everything in nature – it is found in our oceans, rocks, soil, plants, animals, and humans. Plants have the capacity to metabolize boric acid/borate (inorganic boron speciation) into sugar-borate esters, whereas humans do not have this capacity. This means that we need to get the kind of carbohydrate bound boron that is easily absorbed and utilized – boron with fructose molecules attached – the exact form our bodies require.[3]

Fructo Borate is a natural boron with two fructose molecules that are attached to a boron ion, just as it is found in plants. Two capsules a day answer the body’s need for dietary boron to keep our bones and joints healthy. In research by Miljkovic et al. (2009), Fructo Borate was found to decrease joint pain and inflammation while increasing circulating hormones to aid in bone health and joint flexibility.

Fructo Borate: start with one capsule a day and increase to twice a day.

Transformation to healthy diets by 2050 will require substantial dietary shifts.  Global consumption of fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes will have to double, and consumption of foods such as red meat and sugar will have to be reduced by more than 50%. A diet rich in plant-based foods and with fewer animal source foods confers both improved health and environmental benefits.  (Walter Willett MD, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, 2019)

Dear Doctor

We have focused for so many years on boron and the amazing research that shows this master mineral’s many functions: from regenerating our general health by going after inflammatory conditions, to strengthening bone health and reducing the agony of joint pain. There is much more to say about Boron and its importance.

But what about using boron to firm up our skin? Is boron an anti-wrinkles agent?

Mindful african mom with cute funny kid daughter doing yoga exercise at home, calm black mother and mixed race little girl sitting in lotus pose on couch together, mum teaching child to meditate

As it turns out, research by Miljkovic et al. (2002/2009) found that Fructo Borate inhibits the activity of collagenase enzymes, thereby supporting a firmer skin with less wrinkles. What are these collagenase enzymes? These enzymes are actually generated by our bodies and breakdown collagen. As we age, our bodies are not as regenerative as in our youth, which means that as the collagenase enzyme break collagen down, we see the formation of wrinkles.

Dear Friends

Fructo Borate is used for the management of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

Fructo Borate is a boron bound to carbohydrate – a molecule that is naturally found in fresh fruits, vegetables and honey, and in dried fruits (plums, raisins, apricots).  However, elemental boron must be in the soil from which these plants are grown and converted from its inorganic state to an organic complex tightly bound to carbohydrate. Due to bad farming all over the world, we have a deficiency of boron in our foods, causing higher levels of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

This special carbohydrate bound boron is actually found in a healthy bone matrix and hence its usefulness in increasing bone density.  By lowering inflammatory bio markers such as cytokines, chemokines, Fructo Borate significantly reduces joint pain. In research, it greatly lowered knee discomfort and improved flexibility within 7, 14, and 90 days (Hunter et al., 2019). Take 2 – 4 daily till pain subsides.

As we have discussed in our last email, Fructo Borate also reduces systemic levels of hs-CRP (high sensitivity- C-Reactive Protein), a key inflammatory markers for asthma. An increase in serum C-reactive protein levels measured by high-sensitivity assays is associated with airflow obstruction and airway inflammation.  As CRP levels are reduced, so too is an asthmatic episode (Hunter et al., 2019; Takemura et al., 2006).   Take 1-2 capsules daily.

Fructo Borate Complex is exceptionally bio-available  new form of boron based on the organic mineral structure found in whole foods.

Dear Friends

Cellular Senescence means that cells cannot divide due to multiple reasons,  with inflammation posing as one of the greatest. Cellular Senescence hastens the development of chronic diseases like cardiovascular, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, dementias, cancer, immune and kidney dysfunction, IBD, and osteoarthritis among many others.

Current research has shown that certain plant polyphenols (i.e. quercetin and fisetin) are strong senolytic agents (molecules that stop senescence), and have exciting potential  for reducing and preventing senescence, which reduces the risk for developing chronic disease, and even reverses the onset of chronic illnesses and geriatric syndrome.  Research is now focused on the utilization of senolytic molecules in therapies.

The No. 7 Systemic Booster: the New Longevity contains both of these powerful phenolic flavonoids, quercetin and fisetin, within its high-active fruits and vegetables.  Daily dosing at 1 tsp supports the body’s ability to to fight against chronic disease.  (See Further Notes below)

Further notes on cellular senescence:

Chronic low-grade inflammation (LGI) in the body is an etiological factor in chronic disease and it is also a causative force in cells going into senescence.  Cellular senescence is characterized as a state where cells: (1) lose their ability to divide and renew their healthy functionality; (2) become resistant to apoptosis (cell death); and  (3) increase their production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and secret into their external environment pro-inflammatory cytokines, bradykines, prostenoids, miRNAs, damage-associated molecular pattern proteins (DAMPs), and other pro-inflammatory mediators, chemokines that attract immune cells.  In other words, these cells create more inflammation; more collateral damage that can lead to pathology.  This condition is called a senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP).

Senescent cells have been identified at sites of pathology in multiple diseases.  They accumulate in adipose tissue in diabetes and with age-related metabolic dysfunction, osteoarthritic joints, the aorta in vascular hypo-reactivity and atherosclerosis and the lung in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.  Transplantation of small numbers senescent cells around the knee joint can cause osteoarthritis (Zhu, Y., et al. 2015).

Therefore, the discovery of strong senolytic molecules  present in certain vegetables and fruits that  are able to delay, prevent, or alleviate a number of chronic  diseases is very exciting. The No. 7 Systemic Booster: the New Longevity is a great starting point to reduce inflammation and deeply nourish our cells with the nutrients they need to function healthily.

Our findings here give support for the speculation that these agents [senolytics] may one day be used for treating cardiovascular disease, frailty, loss of resilience, including delayed recovery or dysfunction after chemotherapy or radiation, neurodegenerative disorders, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, other bone and joint disorders, and adverse phenotypes related to chronologic aging.  Theoretically, other conditions such as diabetes and metabolic disorders, visual impairment, chronic lung disease, liver disease, renal and genitourinary dysfunction, skin disorders, and cancers could be alleviated with senolytics (Zhu,Y. et al., 2017).
